Liturgy of the Word with Children (LOWC)

Vision. We seek to proclaim God’s Word through the window of a child and celebrate the Liturgy of the Word with children, in building God’s kingdom at the Church of St Bernadette.

 

Mission. To seed the Word of God, inspiring our children and community to live in Christ.

Programme
Through interactive activities, we proclaim God’s word for the understanding of children between ages 4 and 10. It is part of the Liturgy of the Word and conducted within Sunday’s Liturgical celebration on the 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month. This aims to cultivate Christian living in our children.

Ministry Gatherings

To encourage community growth in LOWC, we meet on Sunday mornings at 10am to break the Word, form prayer buddies and have fellowship over breakfast.
1st Sunday: Breaking of the Word*
2nd Sunday: Preparation for Liturgy of the Word*
3rd Sunday: Liturgy of the Word for Children at 11.45am Mass
4th Sunday: Breaking of the Word*
5th Sunday: Liturgy of the Word for Children at 11.45am Mass
*Followed by breakfast fellowship from 11am

Musicians: Play music for opening/closing and parts of Mass for the Liturgy of the Word
