Our Main Church Building has been home to countless encounters with Christ and one another. As we renew its ageing air-conditioning and lighting systems, we invite every member of our parish community to play a part in preparing our parish home for the future.
OUR MISSION
More Than a Building
Our parish/church is more than a building. It is a living community of many people, ministries and generations, each with a part to play in the Body of Christ.
The renewal of the air-conditioning and lighting systems in our Main Church Building is part of our responsibility to care for the place where our community gathers in worship and encounters Christ. As we replace these ageing systems, we are looking towards more sustainable, energy-efficient solutions that can serve our parish safely and reliably into the future.

The Renewal
Why We’re Renewing
Our church was last renovated in 2009, with the Dedication of the Church on 18 October 2009.
The air-conditioning installed as part of those works has served our parish community for more than 16 years.
Today, we are renewing our air-conditioning and lighting systems, exploring modern technologies that offer greater energy efficiency, sustainability and reliability, while enabling safer and more practical maintenance for the future.

LED Lighting
Upgrading to modern LED lighting to enhance our worship environment while improving energy efficiency.

A comfortable and welcoming environment for the thousands who worship and gather here each week.
Greater Sustainability
Reduced energy consumption and responsible planning for the long-term care of our church.
More Than a Renovation
We are renewing more than our physical systems.
We are caring for the parish home in which we pray, belong and serve, so that it can continue to be a place of Christ encounter for generations to come.
Our Renovation Journey

STAGE 1 | Planning & Preparation
Finalising plans, technical requirements, contractors and preparations for the renovation.
Status: Completed
STAGE 2 | Preparing Our Temporary Church
Setting up our temporary worship space and preparing for the transition of Masses and liturgical celebrations.
Status: In Progress
Stage 3 | Main Church Closes & Renovation Begins
Our community moves to the temporary church as the Main Church Building closes and renovation works begin.
Status: Upcoming
STAGE 4 | Renovation in Progress
Installation and upgrading of the air-conditioning and lighting systems, followed by testing, commissioning and preparations to reopen.
Status: Upcoming
Stage 5 | Completion & Homecoming
Renovation works are completed and we return to worship together in our renewed Main Church Building.
Target: Nov 2027

Begin the season together with festive treats, fellowship and Christmas cheer, all in support of our parish renewal. Stay on after the evening Masses as we light up the parish for Christmas!
