SSVP Singapore – 75 Years of Blessings

The Society of St Vincent de Paul Singapore (SSVP) is commemorating 75 years of blessings and formal establishment in Singapore, giving thanks for God’s grace and for the support of the Catholic Church and parish communities.

Today, SSVP comprises 29 Conferences, around 1,500 Vincentians and volunteers, and serves more than 4,000 Friends in Need. Its work supports people of all religions, races and nationalities through a wide range of assistance, including financial and ration aid, nutritional and hygiene support, educational aid, milk and diapers, thrift shops, holistic care for families and individuals, St Vincent Home, and support for dying with dignity. Inspired by the example of St Vincent de Paul and Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, SSVP continues its mission of serving the poor and vulnerable with love, friendship, compassion and respect for their dignity.
