Saints Come Marching In! – All Saints’ Celebration

Date: Saturday 31 October

This All Hallows' Eve, the Church of St Bernadette invites our parishioners to rediscover the Christian meaning of this special evening as we prepare to celebrate the great multitude of saints who have gone before us in faith.

Through their lives, the saints show us the many different ways we can know, love and follow Christ. And as we celebrate them, we also look forward in hope to the day when we too may join them in the presence of God.

On Saturday, 31 October, all are invited to dress up as your favourite saint. As you choose your saint, discover their story and how they encountered Christ and followed Him.

Our Procession of Saints will bring this great diversity of saints visibly into our church, reminding us of our parish theme, Creating Christ Encounters: Many Parts, One Body. Different lives. Different gifts. Different journeys. Yet one Body in Christ and one call to holiness.

Together, we will enter into the 6pm All Saints' Day Mass, the heart and highest point of our celebration, as we give thanks to God for the witness of the saints and for the gift of the Eucharist.

After Mass, the celebration continues with dinner, fellowship and awards as we gather together as one parish family.
