Living the Gospel Together

Welcome to our Mission & Evangelism Hub — the place where our parish mission comes alive week by week. Rooted in Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit, we move together through four themes that shape our life and witness:

✝️ Create Christ Encounters – meeting Jesus in worship, prayer, and daily life

📖 Holistic Formation – growing as disciples in heart, mind, and spirit

🍽️ Extend Hospitality – opening our doors and hearts to all

🤲 Serve Neighbors – loving with compassion and joy

Here you’ll find reflections, Scripture, and events that embody these themes. Each week, we highlight one focus — inviting you to pray, participate, and share in the mission.

Epiphany

Theme: Christ Revealed in the City
Epiphany celebrates the revealing of Christ’s light to the world. As a church called to be a spring of living water in the city, we begin the year by remembering that all mission starts with encounter. Christ shines into ordinary places, guiding seekers just as the star guided the Magi. This month invites us to create Christ encounters through openness, prayer, and attentiveness. As His light flows through us, may our city experience the refreshment and clarity that only Jesus brings.

Christ Encounters

Scripture

Matthew 2:10–11

The wise men were overjoyed on seeing the star again. They went into the house and when they saw the child with Mary his mother, they knelt and worshipped him. They opened their bags and offered him their gifts, incense and myrrh.

Reflection

The Magi’s journey reminds us that encountering Christ often begins with a stirring — a curiosity, a longing, a light that draws us forward. Their joy was not found in the star itself but in the Savior it led them to. In the same way, God places signs of His presence throughout our daily lives, inviting us to seek Him with openness and wonder. As a church, we are called to help others recognize these moments and discover the joy of meeting Jesus personally.
Action: Set aside 10 minutes this week for quiet prayer, asking God to reveal Himself.

Extend Hospitality

Scripture

Isaiah 60:1–3

Arise, shine, for your light has come. The Glory of Yahweh rises upon you. Night still covers the earth and gloomy clouds veil the peoples, but Yahweh now rises and over you his glory appears, Nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

Reflection

Epiphany celebrates God’s light breaking into the world — a light that draws people from every direction. Hospitality is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways we reflect that light. When we welcome others with warmth, patience, and genuine interest, we create space for God’s presence to be felt. In a world where many feel unseen or unwelcome, our openness becomes a witness to God’s heart. May our church be a place where strangers become friends and friends become family.
Action: Invite someone new for coffee or a simple conversation

Holistic Formation

Scripture

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the rampart of my life; I will not be afraid.

Reflection

Formation begins with remembering who God is — our light, our salvation, our stronghold. When we anchor ourselves in this truth, fear loses its grip and clarity begins to grow. Epiphany invites us to let God’s light illuminate not only our beliefs but also our habits, relationships, and decisions. Holistic formation is not about achieving perfection but about allowing God to shape every part of our lives. As we walk in His light, we become people who reflect His character more fully.
Action: Read this psalm once each morning for a week.

Serve Neighbors

Scripture

Matthew 5:14–16

You are the light of the world. A city built on a mountain cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and covers it; instead it is put on a lampstand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way your light must shine before other, so they may see the good you do and praise your Father in heaven.

Reflection

Jesus calls us the light of the world — not because of our own brilliance, but because His light shines through us. Service is one of the clearest ways that light becomes visible. When we offer kindness, support, or compassion, we reveal God’s goodness in tangible ways. Epiphany reminds us that light is meant to be shared, not hidden. As we serve our neighbors, we participate in God’s mission to bring hope and healing to the city.
Action: Do one intentional act of kindness for a neighbor.
