About Our Ministry
We look to the Holy Family as our model: though they faced many challenges, they remained steadfast in faith and obedient to the will of God. They remind us that God does not call us to perfection, but to faithfulness.
Guided by the Archdiocesan Pastoral Plan’s call to build communities of faith that include and support different groups, we are especially committed to the priority of building strong families centered on Christ.
As a community, we pray together, play together, and offer our God-given gifts to support family life to the best of our abilities. The Family Life Team seeks to be a catalyst, helping families lead fuller, happier, and well-balanced lives rooted in Catholic values. We do this by:

Helping parents and godparents prepare for their child’s baptism.

Providing opportunities for couples to strengthen their marriage.

Creating spaces where couples can support and empower one another in the upbringing of children.

Promoting and celebrating family life within our parish community.
We are a dynamic team of fun and Spirit-filled couples who love to give back to the Church by serving together. If you believe, like us, that the family is the foundation of the Church, we warmly invite you to journey with us.
Testimonial
As parents of two young children, we found this (Parenting as Children of God talk) to be particularly beneficial and enriching. The testimonies of a more experienced couple were powerful, and the advice to remain unified as parents, whilst continually transmitting a fatherly/motherly warmth to our children reinvigorated a sense of purpose and vocation in our marriage and parenting. This event was one of several we have attended at the Church of St Bernadette, and each time we have had a very positive experience.
