About Our Ministry
Altar servers play a special role in our Church. We assist the priest at the sanctuary during Holy Mass and other liturgical celebrations. Through precision and reverent service, we draw the faithful into the divine mysteries enacted at the liturgy. We serve with reverence and joyful hearts, reminding us that every small act of service is for God.
This ministry is also a wonderful way for young people to grow in faith, friendship, and love for the Church, and new members are always welcome to join.

Becoming an Altar Server
REQUIREMENTS

Baptised practising Catholic.

Male - As per archdiocesan guidelines.

Age - Primary 3 aged 9 years and above.

Preferably already attending both Sunday School and celebrating Mass at St Bernadette.
COMMITMENT
-
Serve at Mass once per weekend and once a week at weekday Mass.

Annual Retreat. During the Paschal Triduum, during which we will also set up the church for the festivities
Sign Up. Altar Servers undergo training and investiture.
