Children's Eucharistic Adoration
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:14-15
We are dedicated to leading children into the mystery of the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
Mission: To enable children to encounter Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament through a simple structure of prayers, songs, reflection on the Word of God, and silent adoration.
About us:
Fr Antoine Thomas, from the Congregation of St John, started the Children’s Eucharistic Adoration community called “Children of Hope” some 20 years ago. The programme, already implemented in many countries, sparked interest in Singapore following an engaging workshop that Fr Antoine conducted for parents
and catechists in April 2010. Then Archbishop Nicholas Chia gave his blessing to start Children’s Eucharistic Adoration in May 2010 for our Archdiocese. Soon after, a few parishes, including the Church of St Bernadette, began their own communities.
Our first session took place on 23 June 2010 with four families and Br Gabriel, a local seminarian. Since then, we had regular sessions twice a month, before changing to a monthly session in 2018.
Meeting: Every 1st Saturday at 7.30 pm, starting with a simple parents’ prayer by the lawn before heading to the Adoration Room. Each session lasts for about an hour.
We welcome children and their parents to join us!
