GOLDEN JUBILEE (1959 to 2009)
We will begin our year-long Golden Jubilee celebrations with a Thanksgiving Mass on
Sun, 14 Sep 2008, 11AM, to commemorate the laying of the first foundation stone. An invitation letter to all parishioners, past and present, was distributed last weekend during mass. If you have missed that letter, please obtain a copy from the parish office.
We invite each and every one of you to join in the celebration of giving thanks to God for the 50 wonderful years that He has given us. If you have family or friends who were pioneers of the church, please let us know as we would like to invite them to this thanksgiving mass.
There will be a potluck lunch at the church canteen after the mass. Share your favourite dish and let us gather together as ONE church and GIVE THANKS!

| TENDERS FOR CHURCH RENOVATION - The Church Renovation Committee invites interested parties to submit applications for consideration to participate in the tender for the Church’s Renovation Project. If you are a builder/construction company/interior designer/supplier of marble tiles, church pews, lighting, sound system etc. and is interested in participating in our project,
please write in to the Church Renovation Committee, giving your company profile, contact person and telephone numbers before 31st August 2008. Only short-listed applications/companies will be invited by our Consultants to tender for the project.

PARISH FOOD & FUN FAIR

REGISTRATION FOR A STALL - Registration for stalls is making good progress, but more stalls are needed to make our Food & Fun Fair more interesting and vibrant. Come, share your cooking or creative skills with us!. Visit our parish office and grab a registration form.
SALE OF FUN FAIR TICKETS - Make it a family, friends, ministry or group outing! Get your family, friends, ministry or group together for one weekend. Leave your contact with the Parish Office, and our Ticket Sales Coordinator will show you how you can have fun together selling our Fun Fair tickets.
The Church of Blessed Sacrament has graciously permitted our parish to sell the tickets on 16 & 17 Aug 2008, and we need more manpower for that weekend.
SPECIAL GIFT ~ SELL AND EARN AWARDS - Volunteers who can assist in the sale of fun fair tickets for any 4 weekends at our parish or other parishes, from now till 1 Nov 2008, will receive an exquisite gift. We seek your cooperation to take back the Food and Fun Fair booklets, and help sell to your friends and colleagues. Patrons who purchase, or volunteers who sell every S$500 worth of fun fair tickets will also receive the exquisite gift.

NIGHT
COUNSELLING
Began on 1st Feb 2007, trained lay counsellors from the Family Life Society
are available twice a week in the evening at several parishes across Singapore to journey and provide a listening ear to anyone in need.
Night counselling is available

RENOVATION FUND
AST AT 31 JULY 2008
Total amount collected to date through pledges, donations and various fund raising activities, stands at
$1,949,240.54. Thank you for your generous contribution. We seek your continuous support to achieve our target of
$5.88m for the expansion and renovation of our Church.
Project Update -
As you are probably aware by now, the Church Renovation plans have been scaled down considerably due to the rising costs of construction and materials. The new plan involves the refurbishment of the interior of the Church, enlarging the choir loft and the Sacristy, and installation of air-conditioning and new pews. The Archbishop has approved our revised plan and the budget of S$4.7 million. Barring unforeseen circumstances, construction is slated to start in Nov 2008 and end around July 2009. Please continue to support the Church Renovation project.
