Welcoming You Back for Holy Mass

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀.

Now that you have registered yourself to St Bernadette’s Church and have booked a date and time for Mass (https://mycatholic.sg), we would like to provide this guide for you as you come back.

Because of COVID-19, we need to take steps to ensure we keep everyone safe. We hope that everyone will understand the spirit of all these additional (and inconvenient) steps you will need to follow.

If you are a pedestrian, please come into the Church compound via the 𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 #𝟯  (the small gate next to the Grotto). Your exit will be the main gate #1 (next to the Annex Building).

If you are driving, please 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 #𝟱 (the first gate on Kellock Road after you turn in from River Valley, after Kellock Lodge).  Your exit is gate #4 (the gate on Kellock Road next to the Priest House).

Please try to 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬-𝟯𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀.

You will need to allocate some time to go through the entry process.

We appreciate your patience if there is a queue; make sure you keep an appropriate distance of one metre from the parishioner in front and behind you.

Everyone needs to walk to the registration booth at the South Door (the side door nearest to the Grotto) of the church.

Follow the queue lines drawn on the floor and follow the instructions of the volunteers.

Here you will need to do the following:

• Perform the 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲-𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲. Scan the QR code using your smartphone to register your entry into the Church. If you don’t have a smartphone, ask the volunteer to scan your IC.

• Confirm that you have a mass booking. Allow the volunteer to scan your IC, Birth Certificate, FIN Card and Employment Pass and the Archdiocesan system will confirm your attendance for the mass.

• Temperature check. Please do not come if you have a fever, cough, sore throat or feel unwell.

Make sure your family and you are seated at least one metre away from your nearest parishioner. Follow the markings on the seats. Do not sit on those parts that are marked.

For 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻, you are reminded of the following:

• Holy Communion will be distributed from the centre and two sides. Kindly refer to the screen to understand the flow for Communion.

• On the left aisle, block A will receive communion first, followed by block B. On the right aisle, block F will receive Communion first followed by block E. At the centre aisle, block C will receive Communion first followed by block D.

• Do follow the silver markings on the floor at the aisle to maintain a safe distance as you queue for Holy Communion.

• Please keep your mask on as you proceed towards the Priest or Eucharistic Minister to receive the Sacred Host on your hands.

• Extend your hands to receive the Body of Christ from the priest or minister. Keep your mask on as you say Amen.

• Carefully carrying the Sacred Host in your hands, please turn to your left or right and walk at least 1 metre away from the priest or minister.

• Lower your mask and immediately consume the Sacred Host a safe distance away from both the Eucharistic Minister and the Hospitality Minister.

• Once you have consumed the Host, please put on your mask, and return to your pew.

For 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:

• We will not be doing the usual collection during Offertory.

• You may place your donations into the Collection Boxes as you exit the Church after Mass.

• For those who are able, please continue to contribute electronically via PayNow. See the Bulletin for instructions.

After mass finishes, we ask that you leave the Church compound immediately, as we will need to sanitize the Church and to prepare for the next Mass.

If you are driving, you will need to drive your car off the compound immediately. These measures are to reduce the probability of cross-infection between those who come at different mass timings.

𝗔𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 (𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻) 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗲.

Again, we seek your patience as we work out all the kinks of resuming Masses.

Please cooperate with our volunteers and do please adhere to the rules as the Govt has placed a stricter set of requirements on places of worship.

We look forward to seeing all of you at Mass!
