The Parish Canteen is a place where parishioners can find each other for a friendly chat and light refreshments. This usually happens on Sunday mornings, after Mass. Parents also can wait here while their children are at Sunday School. Coffee and tea are on the house.
Groups of regular volunteers take turns to prepare and sell food and operate the Canteen on Sunday mornings. Occasional help is sometimes needed. Parishioners with particular cooking or baking skills are invited to liaise with the regulars and liven up the menu with their
specialties. |
